ASU to introduce new law enforcement officers

 

Albany State University will welcome its recently hired certified police officers and security officers at a swearing-in ceremony Tuesday, July 27 at 11 a.m. in the ACAD auditorium.
 
“It’s a requirement for each officer to take an oath,” said Major CaDedria Hill of the ASU Police Department. “Whenever we hire a group of new officers we have a ceremonial swearing-in to make sure all are in compliance with applicable laws.”

Judge Victoria Darrisaw, Dougherty County Magistrate Court, will perform the oath of office. Local law enforcement personnel and the public are invited to attend this program.
