Recent ASU graduate receives scholarship to attend NCSU

David Darby, who graduated from Albany State University on May 3, has accepted a scholarship to North Carolina State University to pursue a master’s degree in accounting.

Darby, who received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from ASU with a 3.97 GPA, will pursue his master’s degree while studying for the Certified Public Accountant exam. The NCSU scholarship – valued at more than $65,000 – includes stipend, tuition, books, room and board.

A native of Montego Bay, Jamaica, Darby graduated from Herbert Morrison Technical High School in Montego Bay.

Darby has already signed a contract for employment with Ernst and Young LLP after he receives the master’s degree from NCSU.
