Albany Tech names new Director of Business and Industry

July 17, 2008 – Economic Development instructor Gary Fragé was recently promoted to Director of Business and Industry for Albany Technical College, effective July 1, 2008. Fragé has taught economic development programs since 2001. As Director of Business and Industry, Fragé will be responsible for customized contract training, continuing education programs and the several credit programs including Business Logistics Management and Applied Manufacturing which fall under the Economic Development Division.

“I looked forward to working with the vital businesses and industries in southwest Georgia and helping them meet their workforce development needs,” said Fragé.

Frage will replace Bill Hammack, who is retiring from Albany Tech after more than 20 years of dedicated employment. Hammack served as an economic development instructor for more than for 13 years and as Director of Continuing Education for five years.

“I look forward to having Mr. Fragé as a member of the leadership team in the division,” said Matt Trice, Vice President for Economic Development. “His involvement will allow us to continue improving our program offerings.”
